Impeller - Feeder drums

Drums dor John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, Claas, Massey Ferguson combines. In a combine harvester, the impeller and feeder drum are two important components that work together to efficiently harvest crops.

The impeller is a rotating fan-like component located behind the feeder drum. It is responsible for creating a high-speed airflow that helps to separate the grain from the chaff and straw as they are pulled into the combine. The impeller works by blowing air through the crop as it moves through the machine, causing lighter material like chaff and straw to be blown out the back while the heavier grain falls into the threshing system.

The feeder drum, on the other hand, is a rotating cylinder located at the front of the combine. It has teeth or bars on its surface that help to grip and pull the crop into the machine. The feeder drum is responsible for feeding the crop into the threshing system where the grain is separated from the chaff and straw.

In summary, the impeller and feeder drum work together to effectively and efficiently harvest crops by separating the grain from the chaff and straw.
